- Account Information: Email address used for registration and authentication.
- Photos: Images you upload for scoring, enhancement, or watermarking. Photos are processed on our servers and stored securely.
- Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, device type, and operating system version to improve our services.
- Subscription Data: Purchase history and subscription status managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide AI-powered photo scoring and enhancement services.
- Authenticate your account and manage your session.
- Process and manage your subscription.
- Improve our AI models and overall service quality.
- Send important service-related communications (e.g., verification codes).
3. Photo Data & AI Processing
Your photos are sent to our servers for AI analysis using OpenAI's Vision API. We do not use your photos to train AI models. Photos are stored securely using Vercel Blob Storage and are accessible only to your account.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- OpenAI: Photo data is sent to OpenAI for AI-powered scoring and suggestions. OpenAI's data usage policy applies.
- Infrastructure Providers: Vercel (hosting, storage), Neon (database), and Upstash (caching) for service operation.
- Payment Platforms: Apple and Google for subscription management via RevenueCat.
5. Data Retention
Your photos and account data are retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time through the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Upon account deletion, all associated photos, scores, and personal data will be permanently removed immediately.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure token-based authentication (JWT), and rate limiting to protect your information.
7. Children's Privacy
SnapMentor is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
